Embark on a transformative one-day axe forging workshop where participants delve into the intricacies of axe making.

Under the guidance of seasoned professionals, attendees will learn the techniques of forging, hardening and tempering steel, and hang an axe to create their personalized axes.

In this course you will learn the critical skills and techniques required to successfully forge a functional axe. We will cover:

• basic/intermediate forging techniques

• how to strike

• workshop safety

• how to operate top tools and fly-press

• tools needed to forge hammers

This immersive experience requires no prior expertise, offering a unique opportunity for students to create a functional work of art through skilled craftsmanship.

The full-day course runs from 8am to 5pm (unless other arrangements are made). Light refreshments will be provided. Please bring a lunch and a water bottle.
