The introduction to knifemaking by stock removal is a great way to get a taste of what making blades is all about.

This course is designed to show you techniques, tips and tricks to produce a functional knife using minimal equipment.

In this course you will cover:

• knife design

• workshop safety

• grinding and heat treatment

• scale making

• sharpening

You will be provided a range of knife templates to choose from and will be walked through the whole process in a one-on-one session.

The day class will run from 8am to 5pm (unless other arrangements are made). Light refreshments will be provided. Please bring a lunch and a water bottle.
